Because the Radium filter is larger and less restrictive than the factory unit, it places less load on the fuel pump - lower pre-filter pressure means less current draw and lower fuel temperatures, allowing increased fuel flow. The filters tolerate alternative fuels such as methanol, ethanol and E85.

The factory filter is plumbed between the fuel pump and fuel rail, just inside the RH rear tyre. NA chassis use barbed fittings and NB chassis use SAE quick connect fittings - both are supplied, so two fittings will not be used. Installation is quick with typical hand tools and no cutting or drilling.

Key Features

Less Restriction: Larger filter reduces load and current draw on the fuel pump

Cooler Fuel: Lower pre-filter pressure helps reduce fuel temperature

Alternative Fuel Safe: Filters withstand methanol, ethanol and E85

NA and NB Fittings: Barbed (NA) and SAE quick connect (NB) fittings both supplied

Bolt-in Install: No cutting or drilling, typical hand tools only

Available Configurations

20-1021-03: 10 micron stainless steel filter element

20-1021-05: 6 micron Microglass filter element

What's Included

Selected fuel filter element (see configurations)

Anodised aluminium filter housing

Anodised aluminium 2-piece clamp

Anodised aluminium fittings

Stainless steel hardware

Important Notes

Two of the supplied fittings will not be used (NA and NB fittings are both included)

Replacement Radium filter elements are available separately

Installation instructions are available in the Instructions tab

Vehicle Fitment

Mazda MX-5 NA (1989-1997)

Mazda MX-5 NB (1999-2005)

For application support, send your vehicle details to TJ Auto Parts through the Parts Finder.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0658/8920/6526/files/20-1021_b44fff50-1d58-4a39-84c7-d7ebb654b777.jpg?v=1793339416
