At TJ Auto Parts, we are committed to supplying quality automotive parts and ensuring a smooth resolution if any issues arise. Please review the policy below before submitting a return request.
We may accept change of mind returns subject to the following conditions:
• Return request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery
• Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
• Items must be in resalable condition with no damage to product or packaging
• Proof of purchase is required
• A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply, this is at the discretion of staff
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable
Return approval is at the discretion of TJ Auto Parts.
The following items cannot be returned for change of mind:
• Batteries (due to transport safety regulations and storage requirements)
• Oils, fluids, lubricants, additives and any liquid products
• Electrical items that have been opened or installed
• Special order items sourced specifically for a customer
• Products ordered from overseas or specially imported items
• Clearance or discontinued items
• Items that have been fitted, installed, used or attempted to be installed
• Items not in original packaging or not in resalable condition
Special order items include any product TJ Auto Parts does not normally stock and must order from a supplier specifically to fulfil a customer order. These sales are considered final unless the product is faulty or supplied incorrectly.
Customers are responsible for confirming part compatibility prior to purchase.
TJ Auto Parts provides a Parts Finder service to assist with fitment confirmation. Where a customer declines fitment confirmation or orders incorrectly, returns will be treated as change of mind.
All returns must be approved before being sent back.
To request a return, customers must complete a return request by emailing contact@tjautoparts.com.au. Once reviewed, our team will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.
Returns sent without approval may be rejected and returned to the sender at their expense.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:
• The wrong item was supplied
• The item is defective
• The item was damaged in transit
If TJ Auto Parts is responsible for the return, we will arrange return freight or reimburse reasonable shipping costs once approved.
We recommend using tracked shipping as TJ Auto Parts cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.
Once a return is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 2 business days.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Please allow 3–5 business days for funds to appear depending on your financial institution.
TJ Auto Parts reserves the right to refuse refunds if returned goods do not meet return conditions.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This policy does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
All products are covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty.
To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:
• Description of the fault
• Photos or videos showing the issue where possible
• Proof of purchase or invoice number
• Vehicle details (where applicable)
• Any supporting information requested to assess the claim
Warranty claims may require product inspection, testing, or manufacturer assessment before an outcome is determined.
Warranty does not cover:
• Incorrect installation
• Incorrect part selection
• Normal wear and tear
• Misuse or modification
• Commercial use where not specified by manufacturer
• Labour costs unless specifically covered by the manufacturer
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, you must notify TJ Auto Parts within 48 hours of delivery.

• Clear photos of the product
• Photos of packaging
• Order number
• Description of the issue
Failure to report transit damage within this timeframe may affect claim eligibility with freight providers.
Returns sent without approval may be refused.
If unauthorised returns are received:
• Inspection fees may apply
• Return shipping may be charged
• Goods may be held until costs are paid
