The Radium Engineering Competition Catch Can is a higher-capacity catch can designed for high-powered engines. Offered in Large and X-Large sizes, it is universal and can be installed as vent-to-atmosphere (VTA) or vent-to-engine (VTE) on virtually any engine, with the VTE adapter included.

In the default VTA configuration, a large outlet - more than 183% bigger than the inner diameter of the 10AN inlet - slows airflow so vapours drop out, while an internal diffuser traps contaminants and lets oil sludge drain back into the can, reducing oil overspray in the engine bay. Swapping to the VTE top plate adds two more 10AN ORB ports, turning the can into a dual inlet/dual outlet unit that returns purified air to the intake.

Key Features

• VTA or VTE: Ships as VTA; swap to the included VTE plate and gasket by removing the top three screws
• Dual-Stage Condensing Media: In both the inlet and outlet, designed not to restrict flow
• 10AN ORB Ports: All main ports are 10AN ORB (7/8"-14) and can be used interchangeably as inlets or outlets in VTE form
• Serviceable Body: CNC-machined aluminium body unscrews to drain; the integrated dipstick unscrews to check oil level
• Drain Port: Threaded 4AN ORB drain port on the bottom for an optional petcock drain
• 360° Bracket: Mounting bracket rotates a full 360°, with M6x1mm mounting hardware included
• Competition Capacity: The X-Large meets the 1 quart minimum capacity required by many sanctioning bodies, such as SCCA, NASA and Formula Drift

Important Notes

• Sold without fittings - 10AN ORB adapter fittings are sold separately
• Not designed for use with aftermarket crankcase vacuum pumps
• VTE with PCV: the Radium PCV valve (sold separately) must flow towards the intake manifold. An OEM PCV valve can only be used if it is factory-installed on the intake manifold - if it sits on the breather/valve cover, a PCV valve must be installed on the can
• Some engines may need more than one catch can depending on PCV system design
• Bulk PCV hose and the petcock drain kit are sold separately
